Which quad of influential, ground-breaking bands tickles your fancy more?

The Big 4 - consisting of thrash metal greats Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax

    or

The Seattle Four- made up of grunge legends Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam

^^ Throw Pearl Jam out of what Tony said and you have my answer. Not that I dislike them or Nirvana exactly but I would not call them great, myself.

I voted Seattle Four...Mostly because I love Nirvana and Seattle.

However, I think that the "Big Four" are a far more coherent group. Other than coming out at about the same time in about the same city, I don't really think that Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, or Soundgardern have much in common. I don't think I'd even put any of them in the same genre.

You can always bet that whichever choice has received the most air play in a given poll will win around here .... it's no brainer for any gambler :heheh:

Depends on what radio stations you listen to, DKW. In Cincy we do have metal stations that don't play grunge :heheh:

Even our local Classic Rock stations give more airtime to the Big 4 than they ever would the Seattle 4...except maybe AIC.

Big Four. At least the Big Four has no bands I dislike, The Seattle Four has Pearl Jam which I can't stand.
