Beautiful Day - U2
Wake Me Up When September Ends - Green Day
Clocks - Coldplay
Feels Like Woah - Wes Carr*
Think About You - Ringo Starr
Beyond Here Lies Nothin' - Bob Dylan
Any Road - George Harrison

They're the ones off the top of my head. Never really got into most stuff this decade

Oh, and fellow Aussies will no doubt laugh at me for the Wes Carr inclusion (he did win that horrible "Idol" show after all) but we're all allowed a few guilty pleasures :)

I only recognise "Beautiful Day" from U2 - I might have heard those other songs, but my radar doesn't register them because like most things a lot of songs from this person don't interest me.

They should call this the decade where just about "Anything goes" - lists of songs are only made because they were popular. Doesn't necessarily mean their Great Songs cause like all things many great songs are overlooked. I got excited when I first heard "Beautiful Day" from U2 and got their album "All That You Can't Leave Behind", but to be honest the album is okay, but compared to albums like Pete Murray's "Feeler", Skipping Girl Vinegar's "Sift The Noise" and The Yardbirds "Birdland" - "Beautiful Day" is clearly the standout song, though popularity of it has worn it down a bit. Which is why if you find something decent and unknown from this decade, it's bound to be more interesting than what Rolling Stone maagazine would have you believe - which is only there to promote popular stuff.
