Best Metal Bands from the USA

I think Alice qualifies, the metal bands respect him to death Bucky...

Kiss...not sure about that one, I am not an expert on them by any means but they do strike me as more hard rock than metal.

Still it's all a matter of conjecture in good fun anyway.

KISS is that fine line as well...they have moments of metal and moments of straight up rock. Depends on the album, year and song of course.

Metallica for me but there are so many great American bands:

- The classic thrash metal bands from the 80’s will be forever in my heart: Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Overkill, Exodus,Forbidden, Sacred Reich, Dark Angel.

- Death metal bands like: Death, Obituary, Morbid Angel, Atheist, Cynic, Massacre, Nile, Nocturnus.

- From Texas comes a great black metal band: Absu.

- And from Seattle comes the mighty Nevermore .

I thought it was the other way around DKW, that the band is from Florida and the vocalist is from Norway...

When Roy Kahn joined up Kamelot really hit their stride, but even the early albums with the original singer are good too.

Maybe I have it backwards I'll have to I'll have to look it up to be sure now
