Its
70s ProgFan might have seen these?
A Nottingham obscurity about a street in Basford!
Johnathan Gill - Isandula Road.
It's definitely in Basford, Notts. - I know where it is. I used to drive through Basford every day to and from work 1987 to 2013.
But it's hardly remarkable.
At the risk of upsetting the locals, it's also not the most salubrious of addresses, and has been the site of some nefarious activities in the past.

Isandula itself is a place 110 m. NW. of Durban, where a force of British troops was encamped on January 22, 1879, and was set upon and almost annihilated by a body of Zulus.
I believe that there are several roads and streets in this area of Nottingham which celebrate various encounters of the late 19th century colonial Zulu Wars.

I've never heard the song before, not have I heard of Jonathan Gill, the singer.

Sorry!

I've bin' banging on about this band for years, around 1973-74 these were the shizz in the Bay Area.
Barry Fitzgerald leads the band in & out of some great easy tunes.
A man soul searching is the linchpin of this great song... with biblical text.. references - maybe.
Check the lp out, re-released on the 20th Century label.
Willow - Loaves And Fishes.
