They Might Be Giants - They Might Be Giants
The first time I heard these guys I did a little dance. Just like Snoopy. I was SO happy that this music was in the world. yeah, it sounds like it was made in a cigarette box but the enthusiasm goes up to 11!
sometimes I think I dreamed about a band, a GREAT band with GREAT songs who didn't have a pot to piss in and still managed to make a great album almost by sheer force of will.
It WASN'T a dream! I LOVE these guys.

Still can't think of one for this year. I still think this was the worst year for music since the start of the pop/rock genre.

Love Vai on this. The solo in Big Trouble is genius. Bump and Grind is one of the coolest riffs of all time and a great take on a classic, Tobacco Road. Clocking in at just over a half hour there's not a dull moment on the record.

What an amazing year for music this was....highlights for me were:
1) Master of Puppets - Metallica
2) Raised on Radio - Journey
3) So - Peter Gabriel
4) Invisible Touch - Genesis
5) When Seconds Count - Survivor
And so many great singles too (off slightly dodgy albums)...."Dreams" - Van Halen...."True Colors" - Cyndi Lauper....."Pretty in Pink" - Psychedelic Furs..."Rise" - Public Image Ltd...."Shot in The Dark" - Ozzy Osbourne....
