Great year for rock music that later became "classic."
My favorite is Led Zeppelin IV.

Yes - The Yes Album
Yes - Fragile
Black Sabbath - Master of Reality
The Doors - L.A Woman
The Who - Who's Next
Grateful Dead - 'Skull & Roses'
Sly - There's a Riot Goin' On
Van Morrison - Tupelo Honey
Joni Mitchell - Blue
Bowie - Hunky Dory
Rod Stewart - Every Picture Tells a Story
John Lennon - Imagine
Funkadelic - Maggot Brain

Who was it that mentioned Atomic Rooster "In Hearing of"?....Oh I know, it was the DaKillerWolf (Frosty)

I'm listening to this kick ass killer album right now through a Schiit Asgard 2 (headphone Amp) and a pair of AKG K701 head phones, all I can say is that this has got to be one of the finest rock albums ever made. Why this band isn't remembered is beyond my comprehension . Atomic Rooster for the win! :grinthumb

The Rolling Stones: Sticky Fingers
Jimi Hendrix: Cry of Love (posthumously released after Jimi's death in 1970)

There's probably another 20+ albums from 1971 that were classics but the three above I like a lot.
