There were albums from Pink Floyd, The Kinks, The Who and Dylan, but for me Zep just blew everybody away in that year. Their arrival was pretty spectacular.

I'd throw in From Elvis in Memphis in there. Maybe not THE top album but worthy of discussion.

As a devout Beatles fan, I have to say this would be the only time which a list of best/favorite albums from the 60's that The Beatles were not number one:
Led Zeppelin-Led Zeppelin
