Been watching some Captain Beefheart docs on YouTube and am quite in awe of how the man simply took apart the usual precepts of conventional musical scales and timings to create his own world full of wonderful explorations through the soul of someone who was a true ARTIST in every sense of the term.Absolutely one of rock's singularly most inventive and expressive minds along with Brian Wilson and,of course,John Lennon.Shame his rather bohemian approach doesn't provide the same degree of audience accessibility.Just as with the "Trout Mask Replica" disc, his entire rest of career boils down to you either get it and think he's a genius or DON'T get it and think he was some sort of babbling ,uniinspired troubadour................
