Beat-Club was a German music program that ran from September 1965 to December 1972. It was broadcast from Bremen, Germany on Erstes Deutsches Fernsehen, the national public TV channel of the ARD, and produced by one of its members, Radio Bremen, later co-produced by WDR following the 38th episode. It is notable for being the first German show to be based around popular music, and featured artists like Frank Zappa, The Rolling Stones, Gene Pitney, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Ike & Tina Turner, The Who, Black Sabbath, The Bee Gees, The Beach Boys and Kraftwerk in its seven-year run. In 1972, it was replaced by Musikladen.

Performances from the show can now be seen on VH1 Classic, and reruns air in several European countries. Several DVD collections have also been released.

In early 2008, the first free Video on demand web portal for Beat-Club and Musikladen was launched at Mybeatclub.com, featuring the most popular songs and artists of both shows. In 2010, mybeatclub.com was replaced by YouTube - Kanal von myBeatclub.

I love this program. In 70s they nailed most of the songs, some of them are that good they should be a bonus track of the original album. There are some examples:

Maybe you have some favourites from BC? :D

Yep your right Nololob.. Looked it up on allmusic and there they were with Gary Moore.. Was he playing Bass? Sorry.. I'm a bit unfamiliar with Gary Moore other than know that name..
Some great retro rock bands I must say..It sounds funny to me to listen to a blues rock band singing with a British accent.. Some words stick out more than others..

Nope, guitar. Plus they're from Ireland, that explains funny accent. :D
They released 2 (I guess) albums, kind of fast blues, worth to listen his different stuff than solo and with Thin Lizzy.

^^ Yes!

Oh, I just found a video of Led Zeppelin "syncing" to Babe I'm Gonna Leave You.
Up to 1969 it was mostly playback, gladly with 1970 they switched into real performance.

Well I can certainly see alot of Ann in Sonja, especially the power. I liked it quite a bit, and the slight accent is always a plus :) Thanks for pointing that out Slip, good call! :grinthumb

I wondered about the Skid Row thing too..bizarre
