The prog supergroup's s/t album from 1982. How would you rate this album?

Average. To AOR/commercial mainstream rock IMO. With that being said this album was one of the better releases from that year compared to the post punk/new wave/synth pop that was being produced the same year.

Tbh, I see Asia as a skilled AOR-band rather than a progband.
As far as AOR goes, this is good stuff. I'll give it an 8.

Just never got this group, great parts but the music did nothing for me.

For the amount of talent in the band I expected a better record, also I have a beef with the engineer/producer, it is not up to standard as far as production values go. It was just too skinny for me and John Wetton is a phenomenal bassist, his thunder should have been right up front for eveyone to hear.

With the calibre of musicians, this should have been a great band. They always fall a little short of the mark for me. I'd rate them as average
