Ashton Gardner and Dyke were a rock trio from the 70's. You may know their biggest hit with Resurrection Shuffle, but let me tell you they run the spectrum from blues to jazz to straight up rock!! Headed by the late great Tony Aston...

Nice thread MP. I got really lucky at one of the Alexis Korner Memorial concerts I used to go to. Tony Ashton played an old upright piano and knocked out Resurrection Shuffle. He was quite ill at the time but he still had a pint of ale on top of the piano and he did a fantastic solo spot.

They hit it BIG overhere in the UK in 1971 with RESURRECTION SHUFFLE i remember it well even though i was only 14 yrs old at the time it was played a lot on BBC radio 1 :)

TONY ASHTON died yrs ago :omg:

They were actually like really big and like number one in Chicago with Resurrection Shuffle. :grinthumb
