I'm expecting this one to be my favourite metal release in 2018 and up there among my favourites in any genre. Their last album, "Winter", is possibly my favourite metal album since "Blackwater Park" by Opeth.

These guys have been among my favourite metal bands since "Mabool" (the two albums before that are excellent too, but didn't have the same impact on me back in the day).

Simply one of the most solid and entertaining metal bands on the planet!

Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons - The Age Of Absurdity

Really enjoyed the EP they put out earlier this year!

My year starts with having ordered 3 Black Metal releases. The new Shining, Summoning and Watain albums.

There's also going to be a new Halestorm album this year, not sure exactly when and also not sure if I'd call them "metal", but just putting that out there. Satch also has a new album due out this summer.
