Alvin Lee (Ten Years After)

I friend at work loaned me his "Anthology" cd by "Alvin Lee". I had never heard of Alvin Lee before and I was pleasantly surprised. He was with the group Ten Years after at one time and is now on his own. I am curious what other people think of him. There are quite a few songs I like with "The Bluest Blues" being my favorite.

I really need to look more into Alvin lee's material. I don't know much of it, but he does a fantastic performance of "Goin Home" on the Woodstock movie.

Love Alvin Lee. It's a shame Ten Years After doesn't get more attention than they do. Favorites include I Can't Keep From Crying, Sometimes, One of These Days and of course I'd Love to Change the World. Phenomenal song and probably the only one the general public would know.

They were one of my favorite bands of the late 60s/early 70s. I saw them live once. My favorite albums were Shhhhh and Cricklewood Green. I haven't listened to them in years...

If you have not listened to Alvin Lee Solo you should give him a try.

I went to a couple of Alvin Lee gigs. The first he had Nine Below as his backing band and rocked the joint. The second Edgar Winter got up and jammed for a few tunes. The Edgar Winter Band were awsome that night. Alvin is a great musician. "A Space In Time" is a blinding Ten Years After album.
