Alcest

This is a band that Salmacis introduced me to. If I remember correctly we were drinking that morning and he showed me their Écailles de Lune album and they just stuck. Couldn't get them out of my head, didn't want to.

Founded in 2000 by Neige, Alcest started off as a black metal band and later transitioned into more of a shoegazer duo. Whatever possesses a person to go from two extremes would be something very interesting to find out about.

Ah yes Alcest! Found them while browsing ProgArchives and I thought they were pretty cool. My favourite of theirs is the title track from Écailles de Lune

I just think Neige is really great. All his projects are perfect, I follow each one of them. Seen them live this Febuary and was the best show I've ever been too, although it had been a day full of classes and I was tired as hell!
