NO!!!!! They had different instrumentation depending on the tune. A song orientated pop group is how I always saw them.

abba have joined the beatles and queen in selling over 5 million copies of one of their albums.
personally i feel they are not on par with the other 2 bands. yes i like some of their singles, but abba albums themselves weren't up to much when compared to other bands.
i love good catchy pop music,[my favourite type of music] however i've always been amazed at the praise abba get. they are spoken of as if they were something special in the songwriting dept. i obviously do not see that.

i'm not an abba hater, i love dancing queen, super trouper, rock me, and others. but like i hinted at before, they were purely a singles band, as far as i'm concerned.
