Abandoned Pools might not ring a bell... Nor will Tommy Walter probably...
But Eels should ring a bell! Yup, Tommy Walter was part of the founding of eels and played bass guitar within the band for quite some time. Aside from bassist he’s also a songwriter and a good musician. Abandoned Pools practically is his solo project. After making their first album (together with 2 other guys) called Humanistic, problems started. They managed to make a second album with another label called "armed to the teeth". Recently their label (universal) dropped Tommy and so did his bandmembers. All that is left is a myspace page with a constant flow of new material. http://www.myspace.com/abandonedpools
Genre: soft 'indie' rock (not in the strict meaning of indie) with a special twitch.
In my opinion this band has a lot to offer and I hope some of you guys realise the same!
