This thread is terrific, imo! There are many superb albums posted throughout this thread, and the albums are top notch! :grinthumb


One more album that I've like for many years, especially after I bought it on vinyl.

^^That is my favorite Rush album of all time Joe and I have it as one of my top 5 albums of the 80's period.

A belter, pearler, blinder and any other colloquial term my friend Sox wants to add to describe that record...:D

^^Mindcrime is another album in my top 5 for the 80's, great choice Bob.

I always associate "Brothers in Arms" with the arrival of MTV when I hear the song "Money for Nothing", I know it was a successful album and I love Mark Knopfler but I prefer their debut and Making Movies myself.

Still this list is proving beyond doubt that there were plenty of great rock albums being made that have stood the test of time and the criticisms of an entire decade of music.:rock:

Have to put a Metallica album in here - Ride the Lightning, my favourite from their eighties albums.
