    Flamenco (Andalusian Music)

Although I consider Al Di Meola to be one of the guitar heroes (Steve Vai, Guthrie Govan, Vinnie Moore, B.B.King, Hendrix, etc) he still has really intense flamenco songs. Al Di Meola - Mediterranean Sundance omJzvdM32sY Also Vinnie Moore's "The maze" album has a nice flamenco song...

    Stratovarius (Official Thread)

The "new" stratovarius sounds pretty awesome compared to the old ones. Of course there are many unforgettable songs (Eagleheart, sos, Black diamond, speed of light, father time, just to name a few) but with Matias Kupiainen on the guitar, the riffin' is just awesome! Songs are based on complex...

    Tell us about your stereo!

I have a pair of Behringer truths. They are pretty decent although they are used more as near-field monitors. I'd like to have a true stereo with a little bit more color in the sound since these are quite 'cold'..

    Folk/Celtic Metal

As Finntroll, Ensiferum, Turisas are already mentioned, I'll go with 3 that haven't been mentioned already: Kivimetsän druidi - Jäässä varttunut 3Vp6I6kRjTM Elmsfire - Eolian -m28EwTqygU EDIT: Whoa, quick search showed that turisas has not been mentioned :o

please recommend a progressive rock band.

Also there was a great finnish progressive band called 'Kingston wall'. They made (I think) 3 albums and were pretty damn impressive at live gigs. Unfortunately the guitarist Petri Walli had some issues with drugs and the legend tells that he jumped from a roof of a church while on a LSD-trip...

    Aphilas

I'm not correctly sure but I think aphilas started as a side project from a composer with an alias of "huminakirjuri". He had already made some (underground apparently) electro stuff but after changing to new equipment, started to make more slowed down beats with more relaxed soundscapes. They...

    Aphilas

I gotta admit that even though I like rock music and all, this composer has always had a place in my inner playlist. Here is a song that I think is the first released tune from Aphilas: Aphilas - Lifelong Fiction NlzXLckNXQs The whole album can be downloaded from archive.org

please recommend a progressive rock band.

I'm not sure if this should go in to the 70's (or 80's) section but Pekka Pohjola has always been one of my favourites when it comes to progressive rock. Atleast the record "Mathematician's Air Display" or "Keesojen lehto" as we know it in Finland, has influenced my taste of music quite heavily...

Rogers' Moore - A rock band from finland

This seems like a good place to put some information about my band: Rogers' Moore. We are 4 young-ish dudes from the central area of Finland and our goal is to make people realize that there is still someone playing rock music with a hint of roots applied to it. Since Finland is known as "the...

    Hello CRF!

Hi! I play bass in a band called "Rogers' Moore" and I'm constantly trying to find new/old bands to enjoy & get inspiration from. Our drummer is a true rock 'n roll lover so he introduced me to this forum. So far I've been very pleased from the new bands that I've discovered through this forum!
