Are there any good modern psychedelic bands out there?
Also there's this band from Newcastle. They haven't put a record out yet, but I saw them last year and they were very good! It might not sound so psychedelic here, but live it certainly did where they let loose a bit more - maybe it's a bit more prog - either way, aren't they good?! APDRF8ktpGU- Heedblerk

Psychedelic Folk
The ISB are on of my favourite bands! If you want to get into them I recommend listening to the albums in turn as they came out, as they developed with each album. Davey Graham
One of my favourite musicians of all time - just such a natural player. I got to see Davey play in Gateshead on his final tour. He only did a half hour set and then only sang on a couple of numbers, but it was still so good to see him. He did a signing after the show and I bought a cd of him...- Heedblerk

I'd put Deerhunter in the psychedelic camp. Here's a track from 2008's excellent Microcastle album: eNXzBlXu5Eo They did a session last year for Marc Riley on the English 6music radio station. That's how I first heard them - they did a 10 minute version of a song called Nothing Ever...- Heedblerk

Paul Butterfield Blues Band!

Lindisfarne and Alan Hull ! (folk)

Best Album of 1984
First one I thought of was Powerslave, but then saw someone mention Ride the Lightning, which is a much better album - tho not as good as Puppets imo. Ride the Lightning is such a massive leap forward from Kill 'em All, although there is some filler on side 2 and I'm not that much of a fan of...- Heedblerk

Which Fleetwood Mac lineup do you like better?
