Hi,
Has anyone attended a gig at the Hammersmith Apollo and sat in the "restricted view" area of the stalls? If so, what obscures your view and how much did it spoil the show for you?
Thanks!
Thank you Garrett. And thank you Runtfan for the explanation - I'm not at all musical and don't play any instruments so I wouldn't have known that. Not sure if my daughter would know it either.
I've got a 10 year old daughter who's learning the guitar. One of her favourite songs is Fleetwood Mac's The Chain. She wants to have a go at playing the well-known bass part/line that comes before the guitar solo.
Is it possible to play this on a 6-string acoustic? Please can anyone point us...
Thanks so much for tracking this down for me. I haven't heard it (and didn't know where to look), since the mid 80s.
Interested to see it was on the Factory Sampler e.p. - one of my favourite record labels.
Thanks again
The Old Grey Whistle Test put out a show on New Years Eve around about 1983/4/5 which was basically them playing videos and clips from the show.
I can remember some of the songs played:
Marillion - Garden Party
Thomas Dolby - Hyperactive
EBTG - Native Land
The Smiths - this Charming Man...
"Acne, all my employers want to sack me,
They've got no jobs for teenage yobs with spots and splodges..."
I first heard this quirky song back in 1986-87. It sounded British, sung by a male with a slightly manic voice. It sounded British New Wave to me - guitar/synth.
Would love to know...
