I've been a Aerosmith fan since 1972.and Nine Lives to me it's one of the better collections. As far as the new cd goes I am still getting use it. What I do like about it is it's a group effort, every song is written by the band. Even Joey Kramer has a writing credit.
keep those model...
I'm sorry to be the one to tell you DAKILLERWOLF but Grand Funk Railroad's first album IS "On Time" and their second album is the "RED Album" doesn't matter they both rock.

Anyone who is waiting to get this cd you don't know what you're missing. It is the best collection of music that they have released in a long time. That doesn't mean I don't like Honkin' On Bobo,Nine Lives or Permanent Vacation. This cd just R O C K S !!! Buy it you will not be sorry.
keep those...
It's nice to hear someone talk about the "Nine Lives" collection because it is quietly a great cd. I love "A Taste Of India" "The Farm" & "Crash" ...they are my favs from this cd,and yes I love "Pink" . It is also great to have songs from the new cd written mostly by the band members like it...
I have been making cds for a couple of friends as a nice Christmas present and it is so good to hear alot of these old songs. They stand up still with today's music. There is also alot of good music from all the anthology cds. Remember - if you have to buy any Beatle's music etc. don't pay crazy...
If I get the tickets,I'm not sure what I'll be paying - but it will def be a couple of hundred dollars. But hey - it's the Rolling Stones ! we'll see

After the "Tug Of War" collection Paul seemed to be making alot of "musak" as John once called Paul's music until the "Flaming Pie" collection. I really enjoy listening to this cd. It has variety and having his son play him was just a joy to hear as well as hearing good old Ringo on drums. After...
Just got my copy of Celebration Day audio & blue ray video. I can't wait to check it all out. I'll give my review of it all tomorrow. It's Christmas in November.
Didn't do much of anything yesterday so I started pulling out music that I haven't heard in a while. I pulled out a Stones disc called rarities 71-93. The very first song "Fancy Man Blues" starts playing and I realized that for whatever reason I never listened to this song. It has a nice blues...
I too have been listening to old Stones stuff,I still love "Out of our Heads","December's Children" and a cd alot of people think is their worse album "Their Satanic Majestries Request". You should all give it another listen,it def holds its own. I think it is much better than "Emotional Rescue"...
Hey DAKILLERWOLF,check out the Cloud Nine cd and you will see George at his best. He also has a live cd with Eric Clapton's band behind him. Great stuff. I think that if George was given a little more room on the Beatles cds he would have shinned a little earlier. Look at Revolver ...3 songs and...
There are certain bands that can't have any of their members replaced.
the Beatles, the Rolling Stones,Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith is def one of them. I love Sammy in fact I went to see his creation Chickenfoot (who rocked) but Sammy just would not fit in the Aerosmith family. He was great when...
Bring It On Home from How The West Was Won is absolutely the Zeppelin that we all love. I just forgot how good they do this song. I do that alot,I'll look through my cds and go mmmm I haven't heard this in a while and it sounds almost new to me. Can't wait for Celebration Day. I'm sure this...
Guns was one of the true rock 'n' roll bands to hit the scene in a long time. I was given tickets by my sister to go see them for my birthday after Use Your Illusion albums came out. I was in the 2nd row center at Madison Square Garden and couldn't wait for the band to start. They were...
the Third Stage cd was 8 years after the second album and although a good album not good enough to keep Boston alive and active in the public's eye. You could have made 7 albums from each of the songs from the first album, that album is THAT good. When Boston tours these days I'm sure they sound...
I appreciate all the reviews but I think being so critical (by my friends as well) on their every move is a bit rough on them. They are all in their late 60s and of course they're not going to play & sound like they did in 1975. Let's be thankful of the music that they all are making now...
I was listening to LZ III last night with the headphones on and it just blew me away. I must've listened to that collection a thousand times over the years but never with headphones on,what a difference.
