Music you like/love that's not really made for your gender?

In some twisted way I think it's perfectly normal for chicks to be into anything - metal etc. But if a guy was singing "Piece of my Heart" by Janis Joplin, I'd probably do a double take. Guess I'm sexist like that :heheh:

    Lyrical Bliss

In Cream's White Room, I love how the entire song has a sort of drab, dull, black and white feel to the surroundings but in the two lines that her eyes are mentioned it's suddenly bursting with colour and feeling and emotion "Silver horses ran down moonbeams in your dark eyes" "Yellow tigers...

    Loreena Mckennitt

The Book of Secrets is my personal favorite. The Visit and The Mask and Mirror are also great. To be quite honest though, I own all her albums for maybe half of the tracks on each. Not that her other songs aren't worth it but they take me a few times listening to them to truly appreciate them...

Perfect length of a studio album

I don't have a preference really, I just take each album as it comes. But generally, the majority of albums that stand out to me are in the 10-12 tracks range

    Loreena Mckennitt

Official Website Don't think I saw a thread on here for Loreena Mckennitt. She's currrently my favorite Celtic artist although some of her later albums feature Middle Eastern influences as well. Her music really takes you to another world. What a voice... Discography 1985 Elemental 1987 To...

Type O Negative's cover of Neil Young's Cinnamon Girl was good 7cTU0Q4Uw4I Orange Sky did a reggae meets rock cover of Scorpion's Is There Anybody There. Orange Sky is a local rock band from back home in Trinidad, hence the reggae influence. I like Orange Sky's version better, but that's...

"Behind Blue Eyes" versus "Pinball Wizard"!

Love both songs but had to vote Pinball Wizard. It was one of the first songs I heard by The Who and also what I blame for equating humor to Who in my head
