Re: The Doors versus Queen!
If you meant anything other than a straight popularity contest, i.e. popular vote, why then did you say you'd like to see a "real bout"? What is it that you're asking to see then, dead men strap on the gloves?
Re: The Doors versus Queen!
Almost never? Yet your video just happens to be one of those using an orchestra.
"Beautiful"? Overblown perhaps.
Re: The Doors versus Queen!
The Doors could build more drama with a few simple bars of music than Queen could with weeks of studio time involving multiple retakes and complex orchestral arrangements.

No it would not. While disco came across as lightweight top forty material at the time, in retrospect it sounds great compared with the hiphop and Beyonce Knowles kind of dance pop that's played on the radio these days.

Re: The Doors versus Queen!
I smell a rat. Some unscrupulous individual has added two votes to Queen's total. There's clearly some dastardly doings behind the scenes on the part of a particularly nefarious Queen supporter.
:wtf:
The Doors are way too low at #65 on the list. I count about fourteen artists in the top twenty that the Doors would probably beat in a poll on this forum.

Rock fans seem to have forgotten just how popular the Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass were as artists in the mid-sixties. Here's a list of the top ten albums for 1966 as compiled by Cashbox:
1 THE SOUND OF MUSIC – Original Soundtrack (RCA Victor)
2 WHIPPED CREAM & OTHER DELIGHTS – Herb...
The biggest star of them all out there these days is from one town over from my own home town! Yes, Justin Bieber is from Stratford, Ontario which is a mere 35 miles from my home town of London. :grinthumb
Justin is the one on the left btw:
Well neither of these two is about masturbation per se, but you can masturbate to them to your heart's content whenever so inclined:
