    Been listening a lot to these two albums recently: Not so much for the songs themselves, but I'm intrigued by Steve Vai's rhythm playing, fills etc. Maybe I can pick something up from some of it, although obviously his faster lead stuff is waaaay beyond me lol.

    Cool, look forward to it. I'm a big fan of Buddy's, and love the stuff he collaborates with others on. There have been some crackers on previous albums.

    Just watched a documentary about Jeff Beck on tv, and decided it was time I expanded my JB collection, so I'm listening to these: And hadn't gotten around to giving it a proper listen, so threw this in the mix for good measure: I think this mix is going to be on for a few days!

    Jeff Beck or Stevie Ray Vaughan?

    SRV. Beck had a wider perspective on styles, but much of his stuff doesn't click with me. I pretty much learned to play guitar from the "Live at The El Mocambo" video and a tab book of SRV stuff. That video performance blew my socks off, and is still my all-time favourite music video.
