Top 114 Rock Songs of 1971 - Countdown

I will have to add them at some point. Always adding new stuff to the playlists that I've forgotten. I wanted to make these as an alternative to the top 100 classic rock lists that repeat the same songs over and over. Although these lists will have those same tracks, they're fun to listen along...

Cover Versions : love 'em or hate 'em...

I guess All Along the Watchtower is the most obvious. Blinded By the Light would probably be the second most obvious. Too bad about that "Revved up like a Deuce" line though. Lol.

Songs Of 1994 - Strip 'em

Weren't most of the classic rock artists represented in these lists pretty "meh" by the time 1994 rolled around though? (Except for Tom Petty of course). The more current bands of that time never seem to win these things. :)

Songs Of 1994 Add List (50)

As a neutral observer, I believe songs should belong in the year of it's single release. I usually actually place them in the year that it peaked on billboard in the US but everyone is different. So If a song was released in say, December of 1984 but peaked at #3 in March of 1985, I place them...

Ugh! Today's definition of "Classic" Rock.

In the early 80's our heavy rock station would play Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Scorpions, Van Halen, Genesis, Yes, David Bowie, ZZ Top etc.and mix it all up with Flock of Seagulls, The Fixx, Soft Cell, Men At Work, Eurythmics, Talking Heads, Psychedelic Furs, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark etc. I...

What Music DVD Are You Watching

This concert holds up pretty well given Shane's inebriated state. The band is tight and solid and counterbalances Shane's slurring throughout the concert. Actually I've heard far worse performances from Shane where he's forgotten lines or come in at wrong times. He's actually not bad here. The...

    Greetings!

Hello from Winnipeg Canada. My favourite music is 80's Alternative and New Wave, 90's Alternative and 70's Punk and New Wave, but I love the classic stuff as well (Stones, The Who etc.) Also a huge Ska and Reggae fan as well as Jazz and Classical.
