Went to a cousins house when I was 8 or 9. She was playing a stack of 45's on her phonograph. One song got me, From a Jack to a King by Ned Miller. I was hooked.
I agree that there is some amazing talent out there of all ages. The problem is we have to either dig for it or run across it by accident. The crap that is on the radio today sucks, sucks bad, it's junk. Places like this are a gold mine. Keep posting the news stuff you've found
Seems to me that actually playing an instrument isn't anywhere near being important as it was back in the Prehistoric days. Anyone with a computer can put out "Music". Canned instruments and auto tune appear to the norm nowadays. God I miss talent.
A guy moved up to Upper Michigan where I lived from Flint in 1971. With him he brought Grand Funk Railroad. I was hooked, I still listen to the red album probably once a month. Anyways, I guess I just babbled my way through this.
