Anyone familiar with glam/alt OZ bands and Mushroom Records would probably know this cool band called Skyhooks. Shirley and his band mates dished out various albums before they split.
This is one of my favs:-
I just cannot ignore the fact that the other members of such a legendary band like Pink Floyd...who were also great friends (or were they???) ....didn't recognize Syd when he walked into the studio session of Shine on you Crazy Diamond; and shamelessly admitting it to boot!!!!
I noticed that there are many Blues Pills fans here on the forums, so I thought of posting a heads up on another stupendous oufit called GINGER (from Switzerland).
I have been hooked to this Skynyrd song forever. In my opinion it's the best LS tune ever. The riffs, melody and arrangements...and the lyrics are so meaningfully powerful.
However, I noticed the band hardly ever performed it live and it's pretty hard to find it 100 % on You Tube or elsewhere...
Yard Trauma hit the scene in the Paisley Underground era of the 1980s, along with bands like Plan 9, Rain Parade, etc. They had a great tune in Battle of the Garages called Some people and an amazingly psych album called Face to face.
I have been following this band since day 1. Their fine style of rock music really kills it for me. Brijitte is the lead singer and the arrangements of their songs like Pretty Suicide, Spit (Stooges classic cover) and other gems launches them high up in the rocklist!
