Once again Harmonies is what draws me to this band. These guys voices just blend so well together and to go with the musical genius of Brian Wilson no wonder this group was a huge success. I have seen Brian Wilson perform with the only other original member Al Jardine with him and also Al...
I have to post on my thoughts on the Beatles. The Fab Four may not be my favorite band of all time, but I cannot overlook what they have contributed to music over many decades. My young Grand Daughter when she stays overnight here even asks to listen to them from time to time. They will never be...
I guess bands or musicians that can sing beautiful harmonies melt my heart and these two are at the top of that list. They have so many great songs I can't even say what my favorite on is. What is weird though is when I heard the Disturbed remake of "The Sound Of Silence" I thought it was...
The Jefferson Airplane were never my favorite, but they were OK. I guess I was just too square listening to Simon & Garfunkel or The Association instead. My favorite song by them though is Today.
The Byrds did so much during there existence as a band which to me shows they really had some great musicians in that band along the way. Roger McGuinn of course kept it all together from beginning to end but along the way The Byrds flew because of many key members like the harmonies of David...
The Moody Blues are my all time favorite band. My favorite tune by them is Tuesday Afternoon. Between Justin's fantastic vocals and the wonderful orchestration of the music on the songs I could just sit back and listen to there music all night.
Maybe that is why I love the Moody Blues so much. I actually really love the sounds of both bands. I think the Moody Blues achieved more overall success not saying The Association didn't.
Oh Hell Yeah, I thrash from way back. Actually sorry I have never listened to it before. I actually even listening to mostly the mellow Classic Rock Stuff. Led Zeppelin, The Who, and even The Rolling Stones are a bit much for me. :gig
Thank You and Cheers.
This band had amazing talent. The harmonies that they possessed on each song were definitely some of the best if not the best. I think they were rather underrated other than the songs "Windy" and "Cherish".
