Yes, I did think my HEROs thing was clever.
"Remember the heros" perhaps I shall hunt up my Sammy Hagar.
What if Aerosmith were blond?
That would explain a lot of their behavior in the 70s.
Re: 70s girl groups
I was disapointed with a Girlschool produced by Ian Gillan.
do vagely reacall my local radio station joking about fanny haven't ever actually heard anything beyond joking around.
Right now just a humming noize and I can't really figure out where it is comming from.
In the CD player at home I have Uriah Heap's Raging Silence. In my car Queensrike(sp?) Operation MindcrimbII and in the wife's Jeep -- Dio's Killing The Dragon.
I'm really liking Push.
"Why do you think they call them trolls" to the tune of Why do you think they call it dope. LOVE/Hate? Who does that mildly amusing mildly anoying song?
morally AC/DC mystress for Christmass is bad.
Musically I like it
And I'm not as offended as I should be becasue it is funny.
My wife went into Wal*Greens on Christmass Eve to get some wraping paper.
Really I think it should be legal to shop lift stores that are open on Christmass...
Re: Who had the best solo career?
LOL I thought he was with Queen these days.
I think Ozzy though I'm not happy about the re-issue of blizard and diary minus the legends from heep.
Re: UFO - Most Underrated Band of the 1970s?
LOL I think I started a UFO thread. Or at least thought about it.
The new singer for Forigner was in a band with the new ASIA off shoot drummer. With old ASIA reforming I guess the new ASIA minus (sp? off I know)Jeff Downs will be One or GPS...
Re: What Are You Listening To Now?
Daughtry is better then expected. Wife got if from the whole American Idol thing.
Have also given the Gov't Mule sound clip found on this forum several plays today.
I have never understood his popularity. Don't listen to him much but when I do it kind of sounds like he should have going to the restroom prior to recording.
Keith Ritchards singing in concert to give mick a break that was a all time low.
If there are worse then these two I don't want to...
Thanks for not pointing out I don't seem to know my ABCs.
Perhps I'm doing them two much with my 22 month old son?
He really liked the Gov't Mule clip I found on this forum.
Anyway also left out W so WhiteCross bet you thought I was going to say Whitesnake or The Who;)
Just saw a...
Back when I was on the runboards I registered as ZielRocker one day when my regular user name wouldn't work. Every one called me Zrocker so I shortened up the user name.
Wish YOu Call That Art? had made it big or at least more then the short CD they have.
Bands that you may have heard of...
I met them when they played Ft Collins. To bad Frigate(sp?) didn't do better it was awsome.
Foghat tends to be under rated. UFO actually started out in the late 60s and I'm looking forward to their new one.
Nazareth is another under rated band though they did have some weaker recordings.
When I was in High School Deep Purple reunited. Remember how awsome that was. They even had TV comercials on it. YES also returned with 9020whatever it was. Whitesnake became popular. Though I found the 87 recording to be quite a disapointment having only reciently discovered Ready and...
If you like Creed you may like www.benparkdrive.com not really new as they haven't repleced their drummer who has left. They did win a contest to open for Kiss/Poison locally. Would be nice if they found a drummer and recorded a second CD and perhpas started doing live shows again.
Sounds good. Speaking of High and Mighty didn't care for the Uriah Heep recording for quite a while. Thought it was one of their weaker efforts. Actually like it now. Perhps if the first track would have been last?
Guess Trevor Bolder has gone to join Mostly Autim(sp?)
Enjoying the...
Re: Who was the best heavy metal band of the 80's?
Wasn't some of the Twisted Sister produced by Pete Way?
UFO had some good stuff in the 80s.
Waysted also ROCKED in my book. Didn't actually care for Iron Maiden in the 80s but I like them all right now.
I liked Whitesnakes Ready...
Limited to 5. I would kind of like to have all the members of Deep Purple do a doulble album with different line ups givien a album side.
John Lord Keyboards on first two album sides Don Airley 3rd and 4th
Blackmore 1st and 4th side
Tommy Bowlin side 2 and Morse(sp?) side 3
Now are...
Ratt and Roll. Ears rang for 3 days. Did get a full body masage(sp?).
After that show I started to wear ear plugs to shows.
One time at a Yes show I took the ear plugs out for all good people and had to put them back in because with the ear plugs out all I could hear was the croud screaming.
