Review Deep Purple - Machine Head (1972)
I've been listening to this album more lately, and Fireball as well. Both outstanding in their own right. Maybe I'm a Leo, Pictures of Home, Lazy,...I love the ones the radio doesn't play,...the best.- Speed King

Review Rush - Rush (1974)
Nope, I couldn't care less about it, not my thing. Love all their stuff from Rush - Rush to Moving Pictures, and a couple tunes from Signals. After that, they lost me. Don't be so surprised,....lots of us dumped Rush when they went a different direction.- Speed King

Review Rush - Rush (1974)
I love this album, it's a stripped down garage band version of Rush that the world would never see again. More than any of their albums to follow, this one is a window in time. Simple, to the point, and very effective. Add me to the list of those who don't think they were simply a Led Zeppelin...- Speed King

Bad Company (Official Thread)
Those guys aren't lesser guitarists,... I will say that elaborate solos wouldn't have improved Bad Co's music,....the minimalist aproach fit them perfectly,.... They do work for Led Zeppelin, UFO, Deep Purple,....- Speed King

My take on Bad Company is that they were very song oriented. You won't find 20 minute guitar or drum solos on their studio records. Everything they did was geared toward making quality songs,...as it should be! Mick Ralphs has amazing restraint. A lesser guitarist would have cluttered their...- Speed King

Acoustic songs of the 70's
True, it's pretty well unknown,..it has such a cool feel to it,...most people would never guess it was UFO. You have a great avatar, Fump,...I love Vagabonds of the Western World,...my favorite Thin Lizzy song is The Rocker.- Speed King
