"The House of the Rising Sun" is an interesting song because the origins of it are uncertain. Many artists have recorded over the years and I don't think it started as a blues or rock song for that matter although it obviously became that over the years.

David is definitely one of my favorite guitarists. I can't say he has aged well. He looks way older than 69 IMO. I guess we are all different in that respect.
Since I grew up in the 70's and 80's my tastes in rock tend to favor those two decades although I like a lot of 60's music as well. Now, I also like a lot of stuff from the 90's BUT what about new rock, lets say new groups from the last 10 or 15 years. Which newer bands do you like? I'll mention...
Check this out guys. I thought it was funny and by the looks of it late 60's or early 70's. It is from their facebook page. According to Wikipedia: "They performed their first concert together at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Beaumont on February 10, 1970

Rush is an acquired taste. I started following them at the age of 16 when I first saw them during their Hemispheres tour. They are master musicians but their early stuff is definitely not pop. I personally like Farewell to Kings, 2112, and Hemispheres. Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures would...
I dont own an iphone but I did get the album and really do like it. I've always liked U2 but was not impressed on their last few albums as being mediocre at best. This one shines IMO and I did not have to skip to the next track even once.
As far as them being out of style or past their prime...
Allman Brothers 9-23-70 Fillmore East
Found this recently and I thought I would share with the truly die hard Allman Brothers fans. This one features Duane and Greg together in their heydey. The mix and camera work could be better but the music comes through.
