How in the world could I have forgotten about The Scorps? These four albums for me.

Dog Eat Dog vs Sick As A Dog

"Sick As A Dog" in this matchup. Had Ted's "Dog Eat Dog" been included in this poll, I probably would have voted for that one.

    It's A 70's Prog-Off!

I'm not sure if this comparison will be fair to Kansas who got a late start in the decade, but maybe that doesn't matter. You like who you like, right? So I thought I'd get opinions on who people liked better in the 70's: Styx or Kansas. While I like a handful of Kansas' tunes, I like more of...

Favorite song from Neil Young's "Harvest" besides two hits?

After the big two, "The Needle And The Damage Done" is my choice.

    ZZ Top... Hard Rock?

ZZ Top could, at times, rock hard but I would never classify them as a real Hard Rock band in the same ranks with Hendrix, Cream, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Ted Nugent, and UFO.

Turn it Up Vs. Turn Up the Radio

"Turn It Up" is one of my least favorite Ted tunes on Free For All while "Turn Up The Radio" is an 80's classic. Of the two, my vote goes to Autograph but if either song were up against "Turn Up The Music", my vote would go to Hagar.

Randy Rhoads vs. Eddie Van Halen

No surprise here, I voted for Mr. Fingers (as Dave once called him) hisself, Eddie Van Halen. Rhoads style was too one-dimentional for my liking. There are only three songs on Ozzy's first two albums that have any heart and soul, hooks, rhythm and melody: "You Can't Kill Rock & Roll...

Most Exciting Musical Moments of the 90's!

    • I can't say I knew anything about U2 in their early days except for what was played on the radio (which was ok, but nothing all that special), but when their now-famous Red Rocks concert was broadcast over-the-air in 1983, I heard them in a totally different light and I was a fan 30 minutes...

    Best/Favorite 4 album run by a rock band ?

I suppose Led Zeppelin III isn't all that bad after listening to it now for 40+ years so I'll add Led Zep to the list: I, II, III, IV And although Departure was never my favorite Journey album, there are other people who do like it so I'll add Journey to the list, too: Infinity, Evolution...

Your top 3 songs on The Cars debut album?

There's only one song on the album that I don't like, but these three are my favs: Just What I Needed Bye Bye Love Moving In Stereo

Your top 3 songs on Deep Purple album Machine Head?

Smoke On The Water Highway Star Never Before (the 3rd best song on the album, imo)

    Equinox vs. No Heavy Petting

Styx. I never thought I would say I like a Styx album over a UFO album, but these would be the two for that.

    Debut Album Battle

I know Led Zep I was huge, but I voted for VH I because it made just as much of a splash as LZ I, but I liked the album (VHI) more. If Hedrix was included, that would be a tough call between Jimi and VH.

How were some classic rock acts viewed when you were growing up?

The musical climate back in the 70's was probably a lot like it was in the 60's. Everyone was cool and no one went out of their way to put a band down or anyone who liked them. I do, however, remember reading how in the post-Elvis early 60's, there were two camps; those who liked The Beatles and...
