    Funny Band Picture Thread

A thread to savagely ridicule the ridiculous. As a musician who has been in a lot of bands over the years I remain totally confused how the F**k you show up at practice one day in your wife's clothes and don't get the shit kicked out of you. Or for that matter like something from a leather bar...

How about this guy for new AC/DC singer?

They replaced one singer. They could replace another. After all what he does is not exactly Pavarotti. Hell they could plug Jim Brewer into the band and probably do an acceptable rendition. One thing about AC/DC it ain't fancy. And god bless them for it. The question is at what point does it...

POISON Announces U.S. Tour With CHEAP TRICK, POP EVIL

Yeah that's going to be awkward. When a large percentage of the audience leaves. I won't be going though. Because you'll still be paying for the other 2 bands. It will be the most expensive Cheap Trick concert I've ever attended.

    KIDS REACT TO BON JOVI

My reaction Bon Jovi only differs slightly from my reaction to Justin Beiber or Michael Jackson or Prince etc.. It feels like a fashion show. Including the music. More of an accessory that matches the outfits than soul.

Greatest Rock Concert Of The 1960's?

Well Summer Jam came a bit too late. More people attended than all of them but it was in 73. Allman Brothers, The Band, The Grateful Dead Of the 60's I'd vote Woodstock.

    Show us your axe

Harmony is back. They had a booth at NAMM this year. They are making high end guitars. Pricey. And they aren't exactly like the old ones. https://www.harmony.co/#guitars If you like parlor guitars check out the Washburns. http://www.washburn.com/products/acoustics/shape/Parlor.html

Best Buy Pulls The Plug On CDs

Some years ago I bought my daughter a portable CD player for one of her birthday presents. It was like I got her an old Victrola with those giant cones on top. But on the plus side my wife's car you can just talk to the radio and tell it what to play. "Play Lynyrd Skynyrd" and it does. One day...

    Blackberry Smoke (Official Thread)

Far out. It's listed in the discography on Wikipedia already. It's good to have people releasing new rock and roll. It's a lot of work for little reward. Their last album "Like An Arrow" was number 1 on the Billboard country and Americana charts. Guess what total sales were. US 48,000. Crap! If...

Gerry Rafferty 'City to City' Turns 40

I like them. But not that song. Dave Grohl can get a bit annoying but his heart is the right place.

Tom Petty(and the Heartbreakers) or Dire Straits?

I went for Tom Petty. For Damn the Torpedos if nothing else. Dire straights were great also. But then MTV got ahold of them.

Could you be our new front man ?

Sounds great! Great music! Good luck. Speaking for my self. My voice is old my face is puffy and my style is outdated. I have substance. I see that every time I step on the wife's bathroom scale. And I have the hunger but it's usually for Barbecue.

2018 Kia Stinger | Steven Tyler Big Game Ad – Feel something again

Well you are talking to an oldish guy. I measure the term muscle car against my 1969 boss 302. Which had around the same HP and wasn't as fast 0-60.

2018 Kia Stinger | Steven Tyler Big Game Ad – Feel something again

I saw the stinger on The Grand Tour show. It's a real muscle car. 365 HP 376 Torque 0-60 4.7 sec. And they had one outside the hockey game this past weekend. Very cool!

Bat Out Of Hell - Meatloaf

I'm not a fan of musicals. It always sounded like a musical production to me. As in show tunes. For people who like that I would imagine that and some stuff by Queen would be the greatest rock and roll ever. Just not my thing. But long live the loaf! He did it like he meant it. There...

Streaming Royalty Rates for Songwriters Get Significant Boost

It's about time. Congress shoved a giant red white and blue you know what to songwriters when they wrote the rules. This is huge. Just listening to Don Was talking about the issues with Blue Note records. In the digital age a jazz album that did fairly well would only produce like $8,000 for the...
