Kenny Wheeler is the midnite to morning pinot to express bean man... never met a Wheeler
album I didn't like, this one's a gem from the
always fabulous ECM label.
This was what the producers envisioned as Jimi's wish for what came to be his Cry of Love album. First New Rays... is about as complete as it is going to get. Like The Beach Boys Smile, it was a nice revelation some 20 years later.
Man oh man, what a great record. Kudos joker.

I loaded up on all the Jimi remasters back when it was a good time to do so -1993/alt cover (alan douglas) and this was one of them. Blues is still a pretty hard treasure disc

I had this a long time ago and 'aven't heard it
in years, Kossoff's band as I recall and I think
the import cost me a good 4-7 bucks... it was

Some pretty terrific tuneage going while I was
away... tried to join the party late last night but
not enuf rocket fuel left in the tank.
The Dead's very first Dicks Pick from December '73 to bring in some Holiday Cheer. It's a good one. Happy Listening...

Indeed, some Bulliet rye sweetens the whole deal.
A cupla kuts from Cheap Thrills from a Box of Pearls. Crumb doing the artwork was very cool for Big Brother, a quintessential meshing
of talent bizarro, and psychedelia during the charming, endearing days of the old weird America.
Mr BIG,,, English RAWK at its very classic best. It is always an amazing stunner in listening to this and realizing that Fire and Water is part of the reason we hear and have the term Classic Rock. Almost perfect in every way... 45 yrs later.
More cherry red picks from the Duane Allman's SkyDog box; this 7 cd collection is loaded, lot of great R & B, blues with Otis Rush, Boz Scaggs and some southern Allman berry jam from the first album in '69.
