Don't know and wouldn't feel confident saying anything.
What I will say is that my vinyl copy is a "rogue" version with the 53 second spoken intro of "Police Street" by the Firesign Theatre off their 1975 album, 'In the Next World You're on Your Own'.
As rare as rocking horse manure!
I first came across it on CD several years ago but, since selling off my CDs, I had never come across a vinyl copy anywhere - until last week. ;)
The same applied to the Dave Greenslade solo LP that I bought a few weeks ago.
I didn't even realise that it had been released on vinyl!
LEO SAYER - 'Silverbird'
Hardly rock royalty, I know, but this is an excellent album.
Two stand-out, haunting tracks are 'The Dancer' and 'Why is Everybody Going Home?'.
Sayer was the first real act that I ever saw, way back in January 1974 and I've always had an affection for this album (which...
ASIA - 'Astra'
The last album from the "supergroup" line-up until 2008's 'Phoenix' album.
The story leading up to this album was that John Wetton had been ousted over "musical differences" to be replaced by Greg Lake for the tour and the subsequent 'Live in Mockba' release, but for this album...
KEATS - 'Keats'
An Alan Parsons Project spin-off featuring Colin Blunstone (Zombies), Peter Bardens (Camel), Ian Bairnson (Pilot), David Paton (Pilot, Bay City Rollers!!) and Stuart Elliott (Cockney Rebel).
Very proggy!
Well then, since that was 1969 too let's just call it serendipity!
Perhaps they both stumbled upon the refrain at the same time but in different places. :)
Nope - you're 100% wrong, I'm afraid.
'Elected' was based on the band's own song 'Reflected' which was on their 1969 album, 'Pretties for You', released a full year before Hendrix's song.
No, I wouldn't rate 'Love it to Death' as a 10/10 album either.
It's very good and it marked a shift in fortunes for the band, but it's not a 10 by any stretch.
I prefer 'Killer' and the next two albums, 'School's Out' and 'Billion Dollar Babies' - I'd say that all of those three are stronger...
ALICE COOPER GROUP - 'Love it to Death'
And then they hit paydirt...
Suddenly the songs and tunes had real melodies and driving beats.
The single 'Eighteen' was a smash all over America, effectively an update of The Who's 'My Generation'.
ALICE COOPER GROUP - 'School Days'
This is a double album compilation of their first two albums, 'Pretties For You' and 'Easy Action'.
Once again, most people won't like this stuff, but I always have done.
The band's roots are here and you can see how they developed. ('Elected' is here too in...
ALICE COOPER GROUP - 'Live at the Toronto Rock'n'Roll Revival 1969'
This album comes in many guises.
Most people hate it but I like the rawness of their first two albums ('Pretties For You' and 'Easy Action'), both of which are showcased here (in amongst other material NOT by the band!)
BANCO DEL MUTUO SOCCORSO - 'Orlando: Le Forme Dell'Amore'
More superb Rock Progressivo Italiano from one of the three mighty Italian bands in their latest album.
