I loved Demolition and Jugulator. Ripper has a hell of a voice and did a great job of filling in. By the way---Best Ripper Priest tune may be Cathedral Spires!!!
The 3 piece GFR was legendary!! Power trio at it's best. Not one bad lp, Red lp, On Time, Survival, E Pluribus, Mark, Don, Mel,,,all classic lp's I could listen to forever!
Saw Nazareth in a tiny bar in Tulsa opening for April Wine. Sat front row and was blown away. I think only 2 original members were there, but McCafferty was there and he still had it. It was one of those "I can't believe I'm here with 150 people" watching these two legendary bands.
Absolutely fell in love with GFR in 74. Loved the energy and the musicianship. Farner was as cool as it gets and Brewer taught me how to play the drums lol!! Although I never even got to within 100 miles of his talent, the guy was smooth on the Ludwigs. Fave band from the 70's.
Glad to have found this site. I have been looking for a site that has all types of music. Main interest is good hard rock, classic rock, metal and just all good music. Dirty Erin is the name of the band I play in right now. Thanks for allowing me to join.
