On this day June 27th 2002, the rock community suffered a terrible loss when John Entwistle of The Who passed away.
Both Pete and Roger gave their statement about John's Death ten years later on the official Who website.

To me Black Sabbath are the kings of heavy songs.
This is one of their songs that immediately comes to mind and it's one of my personal favorite Sabbath songs.

God this is so sad. I myself grew up on The Bee Gees being that both of my parents were big fans. So this has not been easy news for me to take as well as many other fans.
I had faith when he came out of his coma but then the inevitable happened. At least he's not in pain anymore but it's...
It is with sad news to report that Robin Gibb lost his battle with cancer at the age of 62.
Robin Gibb Co-Founder of The Bee Gees Dead at 62.
RIP. :uh:
One of my rock star crushes when I was a teenager...
Jerry Cantrell is so sexy. Bad ass guitar player too. :flirt
Actually now that I think of it, all the guys in Alice in Chains were really hot.
Same here.
I'm not a huge fan of The Beastie Boys per-se but I really like what I've heard of them. Plus they were a little piece to the soundtrack of my happy teenage memories.
:rip: :uh:
David Gilmour?
Oh yeah, talk about meeeeeooooow! :D
Speaking of the Floyd boys, Rick Wright does not get enough credit in the babelicious category.
Hot damn! :flirt
I just read this today:
Robin Gibb Fighting for Life
According to the article he has pneumonia and he's in a coma. This is not looking good. The Gibb family have been through too much in the past. It was only years ago that they lost Maurice.
I really, really hope that he makes it...
Re: The CRF's Greatest Bassists Voting Thread ((Polls Are Open))

Re: The CRF's Greatest Bassists Voting Thread ((Polls Are Open))
Yay!!! I've been looking forward to this thread seeing as the bass guitar is my favorite musical instrument. My list is pending. I'll post it as soon as I figure out who I'll be picking. :D
That was my exact reaction when I read that. :heheh:
It's really sad. I thought Sinead was adorable when she was younger before she went completely nuts.
Speaking of The Go Gos, did you know that Belinda Carlisle posed for Playboy about ten years ago? I've seen the issue and she looked absolutely amazing. Still cute as a button and the pictures were very tasteful.
I feel the exact same way MP. I'm still in a state of shock and disbelief. I remember watching The Monkees back when the show aired on MTV in the mid 80s. This is a big loss.
RIP Davy. :uh:
