Have probably posted about it in here previously, though I really like The Hollies Cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Sandy (4th of July Ashbury Park)"

Allan Clarke recently released Resurgence, his first album in many years. His voice has changed, but it’s a good record. I love the Hollies and I’ve seen them live many times. The current lineup has been together a long time, Peter Howarth is a great lead singer, he was formerly a backing singer for Sir Cliff Richard.

Yeah I bought a 'best of' Hollies cd 6 months ago and having heard many of the songs on the best of cd back when they were originally released in the late 1960s & 1970s I was surprised how good they all sounded and of course with Graham Nash being in the band at one time there is a Crosby Stills & Nash connection.

The lands of Marshall Stack.
This is roughly where i came in Hollies wise ..and it was their last album!
Sure as a nipper all those great pop songs morphed into others from all those beat bands.
You Know The Score..from Distant Light LP.
..bye the bye- if you have 10 minutes and a mug of joe on the go...worth checking out the back story to He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother.
As far as i can remember ..then jobbing pianist Reg Dwight ( Elton John) sessioned on the single release and got paid £12. ..some story anyways.

Elton played on a few Hollies tracks including I can’t tell the bottom from the top, where his piano is very prominent. It’s true he got paid £12 session fee - Tony Hicks jokes that if he were to do that today, he would probably want more ! The current line up recorded two albums some years ago. As far as I know, they were on another world tour pre-lockdown.
