CSN ruined by overrated Young?

If anyone ever questions the quality of material that Neil Young has produced, one merely has to view and listen to his video entitled "Wonderin'". You will find he couldn't wipre doggy doodoo from any member of CSN. His moaning and groaning vocals will make you want to live in a nursing home. AND, his choppy guitar work will have you giving your roast beast to him for carving. Neil Young, best left alone. Haaaave a nice day.

that was a humorous read Elfranco, but I disagree Neil Young has surpassed CSN by more than can be measured. Granted you either like his vocals or not, but he is a legend and deserves respect.

Thank you for appreciating my humor. Let me say this: music and opinons go hand-in-hand. Thankfully, there is quite a bit of choice out there. I cannot really say, without factual proof as to how good or bad NY is because my opinon is based on emotion. The facts usually are cold and hard but they also are sort of opinionated becasue they represent measurable data. Now factoid or statistic is going to convince a fan of anything/anyone that something is no good. In my musical library, I chose not to have ol' Neil around. CSN did some remarkable things in music. That statement is based on my experience and someone will disagree. That's why we listen for ourselves, to find out. I listen to music every day. My day would be incomplete without it.

I like CSN & Y myself, but I don't have any of CSN's albums without Young so we cancel on that one.

Yes you are completely right, music is like art 100% opinion on what you like and what you don't.

I am not a fan of Neil Young, either. Although, he has had a few hits, but for the most part he misses the mark, atleast with my ears.

I can't deny him his success as a solo artist. People do love him, I just am not one of them.

CSNY.. was never a band.. They were all song writers who collaborated to form a group.
Neil Young worked with Stephen Stills prior and didn't get along well with him. Stephen wanted that electric guitar sound and pressed all the members to comply. He wrote the lyrics and licks so head to head against Young it was a battle that from back in the Buffalo Springfield day's it was more a control by Stills.
But the music they made including their appearance at woodstock where their equipment was stolen made them all greats..
