^ i'm with yer' E-Z..need to hear some Band Of Gypsies too dude!
Yeah I have always liked Buddy Miles and along with the material that he recorded with Jimi in the Band of Gypsies and some other sessions he did with him (Buddy is featured on the Electric Ladyland double album on the tracks Rainy Day Dream Away & Still Rainy, Still Dreaming) I also have about 10 of his solo cds from the 1970s through to the 2000s although a small number of his 1970s & 1980s albums have never been transferred to cd but maybe in time they will be?.

I was genuinely sad when I heard of his death back in 2008.

Watched a Doc. the other day.. Brought me up to the understanding how studio musicians are for rent.. "The Funk Brothers" helped establish Motown into mainstream. All credit seems to drift on the artist rather than the studio musicians who actually played those hits..
