Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band ... come to poppa. simple but effective for all kaths.

Chicago ... '25 or 6 to 4' is the crankiest. most beautiful: 'wishing you were here'. sentimental fave: dialogue, parts 1 & 2.

Everly Brothers wake up lil suzie.

Marvin Gaye ... mercy mercy me (the ecology song). not lyrically, of course, because the words are both tragic and a warning... but the song itself musically is almost like a lullabye to me, i love it so much.

King Crimson ... old era crimson, epitaph (however, on the recent steven wilson remixing in surround sound of court in the crimson king, i direct everyone to the bonus track dual gweetar-sans vocal version of 'i talk to the wind"... just phenomenal. sniff.) belew era crimson... 'frame by frame'. i love the hell outta the album discipline.

Lovin' Spoonful ... daydream. (props to 'did you ever hafta make up yer mind?' my old bf used to sing it as 'did you ever hafta wake up yer mom?')

Pretenders ... ow ow ow. my headbone hurts. strangely enough, i was just hashin this out with my female spawn over a game of pool at the family homestead in new orleans. she would pick 'back on the chain gang'. my pick? (ow.) ummm... day after day. then 'my city was gone'.

Spirit ... luvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv this band. sniffle. torn twixt 'i got a line on you' and 'nature's way'. gotta go with my first lubbb. nature's way. i love all of sardonicus, by the way.
