I saw the band in 1976, they were one of the supports to The Who on their tour of football stadiums called Who Put The Boot In (heh)

They played afantstastic set, Lowell was outstanding.

I think a lot of the crowd didn't know them, and their sound was maybe a little laid back for the occassion - everyone was up for a hard days rocking. There was a bit of a mass punch-up while LF were on, but that's Glasgow for you!

They had inflatable cactus things waving around on stage & eventually won the crowd over with some great musicianship.

fantastic, much under-appreciated band.

I hold Waiting For Columbus along with Live at the Fillmore (A Bros) as the best live album(s) of all time.
I have to agree with you. Two fantastic 70's albums. Along with those albums I'd add Deep Purple - Made in Japan, Colosseum - Live and Uriah Heep - Live 1973 to complete the set.
Little Feat rock :grinthumb and it's always a pleasure to find an album by them because they're so hard to find out here.

It took me a while to get into LF, but I really respect them and enjoy their music now, even though I stopped at Waiting for Columbus.

Lowell George and The Factory.[2] The band made an appearance on the 1960s sitcom F Troop as "The Bedbugs". They were also featured in an episode of Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., "Lost, the Colonel's Daughter" (season 3, episode 27). They appeared in the scene inside the A-Go-Go club, with their music heard playing loudly. They received credits at the end of the episode as "'The Factory' Lowell-Warren-Martin-Rich, Courtesy of Universal Records".
