Good songs DJ....film themes were big..loved Convoy movie.

The Bee Gees- Spicks And Specks.
These had the 2nd record to be played on BBC.Radio after the Move pipped them to be the first.
This was a great tune in the hot summer of '75.

Breaking Glass involved the late Dodi Fayed..and sadly the featured saxophoninist here lost his fingers in a bench saw accident.

Denim clad pop rock was ideal for our local commercial Station...Radio Trent
Which housed David 'kid' Jensen.

Teeny Bopper Glam i called this..serious record play at the time.
Shame the RAK label have never done a boxed set...some great acts.

The late John Peel did a Best Of Year show...and this always topped out.

Actually the song came out of a marketing campaign in the early 70's by William Fries, who adopted the name used in the campaign of C. W. McCall and released Convoy along with other songs. The movie came a couple years after the song was a hit.
