Oh, precious little darlings! Bet none of you are girls either...or chicks with dicks. That70'sGuy you are 64? A spanking? Well, that's a start! :) I guess I like to think the interest level with rock music in some ways grew with the rise of the internet usage with the public over the last twenty years and I think in some ways it did (for a little while) and in others it was systematically destroyed bit by bit as Napster and folks decided it was best to steal everything. How's that working out for everyone now that the world's best selling recording artists don't even record any more mere less release any new music in any manner whether it be singles, e.p.s. or l.p.s.? I can understand and value some things and maybe in the long run it won't be quite as bad but it sure sucks right now. Though it has been made clear to me that music will never sell again in physical format. I was told that it is gone and you will not get it back either.

I just wish that there could be great physical releases in the years to come of compilations and Super Deluxe Editions of previous released l.p.s. That seems to be less and less the case and possiblity as the sweet ass passage of time takes place. Of course I'm not sure how well they ever really sold either as record stores never liked multi-disc sets since they cut into sales. That was two c.d.s or more! Mere less box sets full of discs! Sounds like with the rare exception they did not sell well enough for the most part. The public are missing out on so much. Espcially considering they were never fully aware of such great unreleased material of the songs they supposedly loved so much but not enough to pay for in the long run...

"How did my interest in Rock Music grow.."
Well i managed long before a house phone or a cell phone..and a smart phone or tablet and computer..and we didn'nt have a TV until 1971.
I swapped records, bought 3 music papers per week..lived in Record Shops and 2nd hand stores..used the Record Dept in the local Library..listened to what my elders were into...and switched on the radio...a tablet Alex was summat i took when ill...a mouse was a rodent..the net carried oranges..and i relied on natural curiosity...

So it has been very startling if not down right scary to me in recent years seeing and watching the hoards of masses of the public disappear (As if off the internet entirely! We know that not to be true.) as from what I understand most have gone to Facebook and Twitter or what have you on Social Network boards. Here's the thing. I for one don't (nor have I ever) used those places! It appears I in some manner and level am shit out of luck (What the *******.?) in terms of having not only huge swaths of people to communicate with concerning most message boards but obviously now most people at all. I find it disturbing and makes me infuriated frankly.

I can see some benefit to having the internet to myself (and gathering the public up to control them and learn and document their behavior I guess in a nice slight manner of getting your fascism on) but it also really bothers me that I will more than likely be missing important information as I definitely don't think regular web pages (at least the discussion boards) are kept up to date by any means. I am afraid that many message boards are abandoned for good in some ways and at least in comparison to recent years' past.

Don't people know and realize that not everyone are on Facebook and Twitter? I mean that's a profoundly disturbing situation that those users are so isolated from all aspects of reality that goes far deeper than keeping places like this active. I mean the whole point of me (or a major part of it) coming to this place is because other places have basically been abandoned.

I am not sure what the above post is about. However I too am not on facebook because it reminds me of a school yard playground in that you have to make friends and keep friends informed of every move you make, that could be very tiresome. In contrast I do like forums because you can simply be yourself.
