Just came across this. David Gilmour - Comfortably Numb - Live in Pompeii in 2016

this song, in almost any iteration, continues to give me goosebumps. Love Gilmour's voice in it, but those two solos? I still think that they might be just about the most heart-felt guitar solos ever recorded. I never tire of them and they always bring up specific emotions in me.

While cruising through youtube clicking on random stuff, this came across my desktop again. The 'feels' that I get from listening to this song still get me. I could listen to Gilmore play a 20 minute rendition of the solo and it wouldn't bother me at all. I'd have a hard time finding a rock solo that I like more that the ending solo on this song.

Love listening to and playing this vid from YT.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond (pts 1-9) - seemlessly played both tracks together. I have a question, does anyone know if Pink Floyd ever released the full 1-9 as a single track on any of their albums? If so, I'd love to know which one.

Thought I'd post these here as they will get/have got lost in the post a picture thread.

Went out over Christmas and took some local Pink Floyd photos around here in Cambridge. Was were David Gilmour, Roger Waters and Syd Barret grew up. Also their graphic designer Storm Thorgerson.

The Mill pub. The yellow circled figure is David Gilmour as a young man in the 60s. This is the Mill today.
