Yes Nedkelly, these are the Stalk Forrest Group, pre-Blue Öyster Cult !!! I recently ordered their cd and am actually waiting on it !!!

Here's another HEAVY band: shitty band name but crystal clear album title... :

FRESH BLUEBERRY PANCAKE "Heavy" 1970

Wow! What a blast from the past. That was a garage band from Pittsburgh. I used to be on a show on the local PBS station while I was in high school in the late 60's that had local garage bands play on TV. Fresh Blueberry Pancake was one of those garage bands. I remember that their lead guitar player had one of those diamond shaped Vox guitars which he'd modded with Gibson humbuckers. They recorded a demo album with an eclectic mix of different songs and tried to shop it around the record labels, with no results. Then, some German label ended up with the master tapes and released the album in Germany, with the guys in the band knowing nothing about it. Turns out the drummer of the band recognized my name on Facebook, and reached out to me and shared that story.

And for the record, that band was active at the same time as bands like Strawberry Alarm Clock, Iron Butterfly, and Clementine Paddleford's Memorial Public Band.

My bad, I thought this was in the metal section for some stupid reason.

D'oh

Nobody pays attention to such things. I saw that this thread had a recent post over in the Recent Threads column on the right. Those different decade listings are a major waste of time and effort. They are about as meaningless as can be.
