Don't know why Townsend and Daltrey don't release this concert officially cos it sounds good to me unless Cotillion records a subsidiary of Atlantic records still own the rights to the recordings??.

Hi Frands I came across it in a London record shop (Fopp) a couple of days ago although I did hear that the Who's complete WOODSTOCK 1969 performance was going to be released on cd several months ago and I have been keeping an eye out for it although I thought it would be an 'official Who' release and put out by Pete Townsend & Roger Daltrey but it's not it's an American radio broadcast of there set. Yeah the sound quality sounds GOOD although there are one or two radio edits I presume but overall it claims to be the complete 65 minutes set. One slightly strange edit (I presume it is a edit?) is nearly at the end when the Who go into My Generation and after the first or second verse cut straight into Naked Eye which sounds a bit abrupt to my ears(?) which then goes on for several minutes before the band bring there set to a close with Pete's guitar (red Gibson SG) feeding back through his amps.

Overall it's not a bad listen and I've actually played it about 4 or 5 times right through and will give it a few more listens over the coming days. I paid £10 for it and also it made me dig out my old copy of my Tommy cd and give it another listen all the way through.

Hi Ox,
Thanks alot for all your information! I'll try to find that album somewhere on the net. It's hard to find it as a cd here where I am, because most people want vinyl or the digital things. If I can find a digital version it's ok as well. I really do like The Who. They really formed my interest for rock music back in time!
