The title track is one of the best songs the band has ever done

After Back in Black, the band did get more formulaic, (but the song FTATR is not formulaic)...Their older stuff has more variety in sound.

Standout tracks here are FTATR! snowballed, let's get it up (cheesy, but fun)...

I don't think they got formulaic tbh. There were subtle changes in albums.

Great opener.....but the rest is ok or mediocre. I do understand yhat after Back in Black it was difficult to stsrt a new slbum , but overall it isn’t good enough. Maybe they should have waited another year and make an album every 2 years.....but that’s in retrospect.

I burned a cd of this album after I moved a few of the songs around a little bit, and it made big difference to me.

Naturally Side 1 is stacked with the best tracks, but the tracks on Side 2 are still pretty good and have a good flow overall.

Side 1
For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)
Let's Get It Up
Inject The Venom
Evil Walks
Breaking The Rules

Side 2
Snowballed
I Put The Finger On You
C.O.D.
Night Of The Long Knives
Spellbound

Is there -really- a side 1 and side 2 on a CD? ;)

:heheh:

The way I burn cds, yes, there are two "sides".

For years I was content listening to cds "as is", but a few years ago I began thinking about how much better I might enjoy listening to a cd if it had a distinct Side 1 and a Side 2 -- just like the albums did that I enjoyed listening to back in high school.

So a couple of years ago I went on a kick to re-burn most of my cds to match its album format. For the last track on Side 1 I then add a 30 second audio clip of silence to simulate the time it took someone to flip the record over before Side 2 begins. I know it sounds kooky, but now when I listen to a cd this way, it's almost as if I'm listening to the record album once again. (only without the snap, crackle and pop)

Of course this also gives me the freedom to move tracks around from the original album's sequence, which I will do if it helps improve the overall flow or vibe of the album.

So basically I'm like BASF. I don't make the cds. I make the cds better. :D

I haven't heard the title song for sometime but I think during the longish guitar intro there is a chord change before Brian starts singing that always sounds so good to me plus it's a great tribute song that salutes the audience and fan's alike. Also (and I mite be wrong?) on a live version of the song I like the way the band quieten down before starting the song which (to me) lifts the song to a greater level of importance at the end of there concerts. It is a great song.
