Guys, I'm depressed! I do not like modern music at all. I can not even find a decent track to replenish the collection in my mobile phone. I've always been a fan of Blink 182. By the way, is there Blink 182 fans? If so, write to me in PM! Begins communication with the discussion of the history of the creation of the Blink 182 logo.

Greta Van Fleet is my new favorite band, saw them live and they are awesome! Young and talented they embody what was great about early 70's rock inspired by the blues legends like Taj Mahal.

I need recommendations. So I’m in my 50’s and a rock music fan from back in the day. I was lucky to see Purple, Led Zep, Sabs etc. Loved Lizzy, UFO, AC/DC etc. Been recently getting back into classic rock mainly through the wonderful reissues from the fantastic Rock Candy label. Recently brought reissue CD’s by Coney Hatch, Gamma, Blackfoot, Ram Jam etc. Other than Greta Van Fleet, who I love, who else should I be listening to?

I'm 51 now. Back in the mid-2000's, I had sold a massive CD collection a few years earlier and didn't really want to repurchase that many CD's, so I started doing large greatest hits albums of all my favorite classic rock bands.

Then in 2007 I got Sirius radio for a few years and discovered (at that time) Hard Attack (among other great stations). It turned me on to symphonic metal in the form of Kamelot and Nightwish. Now, a few hundred CD's later, I have big stacks of Melodic Black Metal, Melodic Death Metal Doom Metal, Goth Metal, Symph Metal & Folk Metal. About 99% of these bands are European, but I found a new way as far as my listening tastes go. At the time, I didn't think that would be possible.

A couple newer US bands I like are Orchid and The Sword. Still metal though, not sure if that's your thing.

Definitely the Sword

Perfect for the Sabbath fan.

Also Truckfighters

And Wolfmother

Really anything in the "stoner metal/rock" subgenre's gonna have a very 70s type sound thats very friendly to fans of classic rock, especially of the hard rock variety. Fans of Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin will surely like most bands in the genre. I know I do!

If your more into the 80s sound, bands like Crazy Lixx and other modern AOR and glam bands are keeping that sound very much alive.. Almost eerily so. Theres quite a few AOR and hard rock database websites that can keep you busy for days finding newer bands of the genre.

If it wasn't for the very "digital sounding" master, this would be something straight out of the mid 80s.
