You're like minded. I haven't enjoyed any of his solo material since 'No More Tears'; except maybe a track or two here and there. He seems like a has been making money off of the success of other musicians, but that's life! :DK
Sharon also not helping matters with awful remasters.

I don't often ever believe an artist when they claim to be on a farewell tour, I always expect them to come back eventually. I definitely didn't expect this to be Ozzy's last tour just because from the start they've played the whole "No More Tours 2" thing as a joke.
When KISS does their second farewell tour, I Just know they'll be on that KISS cruise the very next year.

The Dead are the all time champs of the fake retirement thing.
They made a big deal of the last shows in Chicago and then Dead And Company toured the next summer.
They didn't even really take a break.
OK fine Dead and Co doesn't include Phil but still.
A very shady move.

On February 28, 2015 when tickets became available on Ticketmaster, over 500,000 people logged on to purchase tickets, which set a new Ticketmaster record for ticket demand for a concert. Following the initial sellout of these concerts, seats were made available behind the stage, and prices on secondary ticket sites such as StubHub averaged $2,000 each.[5]

Then they go on tour the next summer.

Romulus' pretty much summed up what I had in mind on the matter.Ozzy's a trooper. And McCartney's a trooper. And Clapton and the Stones,etc....When you reach a certain combined level of industry influence and commercial sales, you can't really step down as though you've been laboring at menial occupation, barring deeply concerning personal or medical issue Not that easy.Especially in the case of McCartney who will maintain the rather exhaulted "Ex" or "Former Beatle" label till the day he sheds his mortal coil.Sadly in the case of John Lennon,John insisted he could distance himself from his Fab past to the point where he actually believed he could just walk around in the manner of any average citizen of the world. We all know what that grossly inaccurate assessment of things led to...................
